Helen R. Franks Basili

Franks Basili, 82, of Bellevue, Nebraska, formerly of Uniontown, Pa., passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2002, in her home with her loving family at her side. She was born March 28, 1920 in Republic, Pa., a daughter of the late Michael and Mildred Sankovich Franks.
Mrs. Basili was a member of St. Therese de Lisieux Parish, Uniontown, Pa. before moving to Nebraska.
Mrs. Basili was a United States Army veteran of World War II. She was a recipient of the American Service Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, World War II Victory Medal and the WAAC Service Ribbon.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Leonard A. Basili on May 13, 1987.
She is survived by a son Carl A. Basili and his wife Patricia of Bellevue, Nebraska; seven grandchildren, Suzanne, Dorothy, Leonard, Abigail, Robert, Emily and Michael; a sister Marion Check of Republic, Pa.; a brother Edward A. Franks of New Salem, Pa. and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the DOLFI FUNERAL H OME, Uniontown, Pa., Wednesday, October 16 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, October 17 until 9 a.m. at which time a Blessing Service will be held followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Therese de Lisieux R. C. Church with the Rev. Fr. Patrick O’Connor as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
Military rites will be accorded by the American Legion Post 51 and the V.F.W. Post 8543.
