Local students receive scholarships

2 min read

More than 1,400 Pennsylvania high school juniors and seniors, including a number of local residents, received scholarships to attend Pennsylvania Free Enterprise Week 2002. The unique event in economic education, held this summer at Lycoming College in Williamsport, offered an interactive, virtual trip into the world of business to teach youth about the American free enterprise system and their role in it.

The weeklong experience was supplemented with speakers and activities and completely funded through scholarships donated by Pennsylvania businesses and organizations.
