Margaret Jennings
Margaret Sheehan Jennings, 88, of Los Angeles, Calif., formerly of Brownsville, Pa., passed away Friday, Oct. 11, 2002, in Los Angeles, Calif., at the home of her daughter. She was born on Sept. 16, 1914, in Sunshine, Pa., Fayette County, daughter of the late Timothy and Ellen Mary Hastings Sheehan.
Mrs. Jennings was a member of The Historic Church of St. Peter of Brownsville, Pa., the St. Peter’s Christian Mothers and the Catholic Daughters of America.
She served as a volunteer counselor for AA.
Mrs. Jennings was the last surviving member of her immediate Sheehan family.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, John Marshall Jennings; two grandsons, Travis and Sean Jennings; and 13 brothers and sisters.
She is survived by four children, John Jennings and his wife, Annie of Fresno, Calif., Ellen Engel and her husband, Jeffrey of Los Angeles, Calif., Marshall Ross Jennings and his wife, Kathy of Lebanon, Mo., and Ralph Jennings and his wife, Cynthia of Belle Vernon, Pa.; the following grandchildren, Curtis, John Christopher, Crystal Jennings, Chanda Huber, Mark and Jessica Engel, Kimberleigh, Heather, Heidi and Jennifer Jennings and Justin and Melissa Jennings; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park St., Brownsville, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m., and on Friday, where a prayer service will be held at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m., in The Historic Church of St. Peter of Brownsville, Pa., with the Rev. Fr. Vincent Gigliotti as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery of Brownsville, Pa. The Catholic Daughters and The St. Peter’s Christian Mothers will recite the Rosary today at 3 p.m.
