Barbara Ann (Torre) Comfort, 88, of Uniontown, Pa., died Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2002, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa. She was born April 7, 1914, daughter of the late Thomas Torre and Angelina Carolla Torre.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, John P. Comfort; and a son, Joseph T. Comfort.

Barbara was a member of Ss. Cyril & Methodius R.C. Church in Fairchance.

Surviving are her daughter, Angelina Stair of Allison Park, Pa.; grandchildren, Richard J. Stair and wife, Candice and Pamela Monroe and husband, Mark, all of Zelienople, Pa.; great-grandchildren, Aaron Monroe, Kyle Monroe, Rick Stair, Chelsea Stair and Haley Stair; and sisters, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church St., Fairchance, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2002, until 9 a.m., when a prayer service will be held. A Mass of Christian burial follows at 9:30 a.m., in Ss. Cyril & Methodius R.C. Church, with the Rev. Fr. David Nazimek as celebrant. Interment will follow in Mount Saint Macrina Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa. Parish Wake Service will be held this evening.
