ALLISON CHRISTIAN CHURCH announces Kids Night will be held today from 6 to 8 p.m. in the social hall for area children. On Sunday, the outreach ministry will have a penny sale prior to the 9 a.m. church service. The offering will be collected immediately following children’s moment. ALLISON FIRST CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE, at the corner of Allison Avenue and Vernon Street in Allison No. 2, will host a hayride and pumpkin picking time at Duda’s Farm, Merrittstown, on Saturday. ASBURY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, corner of Beeson Avenue and Dunbar Street in Uniontown, announces on Sunday, the traditional 11 a.m. service will celebrate National Children’s Sabbath, coordinated by Shirley Sullivan. Guest speaker Tina Whitehead from the after-school program at Calvary United Methodist Church and Hope Camp, will present the message. Items collected from the congregation to help fill backpacks for the children who attend Hope Camp will be carried to the altar by the children and dedicated during the Children’s Time. Special music will include a solo by Cathy Hayes, an anthem by the Asbury Chancel Choir, directed by William Dreucci, and selections from organist Jim Hutchinson. Loving Nursery Care is available for infants and children under 4 while children’s church is available for all children age 4 and older. On Wednesday at 7 p.m., there will be a special service with John and Wilma Hall, missionaries to Nicaragua. They were approved in April and will now be itinerating throughout the Penn-Del District to raise a new and larger budget for their ministry.

PLEASANT VIEW PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, located two miles west of Smock at the intersection of the Pleasant View and Royal roads, observes Come In Out of the Cold Sunday at 11 a.m. worship. This is an outreach campaign undertaken by eight western Pennsylvania and eastern Ohio Presbyteries aimed at encouraging friends and neighbors to attend a Presbyterian church. The campaign culminates on Sunday, Dec. 8 with Bring-A-Friend Sunday. Last year, Pleasant View more than doubled its worship attendance as a result of the campaign. This Sunday, the Rev. Keith Conover, pastor, will share worship leadership with members of the Reach-Out Team and the Pleasant View Players. ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST BYZANTINE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 185 E. Main St., Uniontown, will hold its 21st annual Carpatho-Rusyn Celebration on Sunday, Oct. 27, in the church social hall. The Saturday Divine Liturgy at 5:30 p.m. will include a blessing service for the festival workers and for the success of the event. Sunday Divine Liturgies are at 9 and 11:15 a.m. Festivities will begin at noon and continue through 7 p.m. There will be cultural as well as spiritual aspects of the day. ST. OLIVER PLUNKETT PARISH, ST. MICHAEL ARCHANGEL CHURCH IN FREDERICKTOWN, will hold a charismatic Mass on Thursday, Nov. 7 at 6:30 p.m. with the River of Life Prayer Group. The Rev. Dec. 2-9, a tour to the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe will be held. Participants will also visit the Pyramids, Floating Gardens and other historical and religious sites.
