Andrew J. Lackemacher
Andrew J. “Andy” Lackemacher, age 31, of Dunbar Township, Fayette County, Pa., and Seven Springs Resort, died suddenly Thursday, October 17, 2002, at his home. Andy was born May 24, 1971, in Pittsburgh, Pa., a son of Sylvia Law Lackemacher of Uniontown, Pa., and the late Arthur J. Lackemacher, who passed away May 15, 2002.
Andy was employed as a Pennsylvania Property and Casualty Insurance Agent with The Insurance People Inc. of Smithfield, Pa., which is family operated.
He graduated from Laurel Highlands High School and attended Clarion University.
Andy lived life to the fullest and was very active in a variety of areas including wrestling and baseball in the Laurel Highlands School District.
He also played Adult Hockey in Rostraver, Divito Park, and the Uniontown YMCA.
Andy was a talented Drummer and Songwrwiter who performed throughout the area with the band “Kid Hollywood”.
His favorite moments were spent at Seven Springs Resort with his friends skiing, golfing, and relaxing at the pool.
He will be missed by many!
He was predeceased in death by his father, Arthur J. Lackemacher, on May 15, 2002, paternal grandparents, William Frederick and Theresa Patricia Lackemacher, and maternal grandparents, George and Dorothy Law.
In addition to his mother, Sylvia, Andy is survived by his loving wife, Rhonda L. Richter Lackemacher, whom he married August 17, 2001; a sister, Andrea J. Jones and her husband, Matthew, of Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania; two special nieces: Maggie and Kate; his mother-in-law, Caroline Richter of Dunbar, Pa.; and several other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Family and Friends will be received in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 East Green Street, Connellsville, Pennsylvania, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. where Funeral Services will be held Monday, October 21, at 11 a.m. in the Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Juengel officiating.
Committal Services and Entombment will follow in green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville.
Visitation was also held Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.
