Someone threw eggs at a house and car owned by Meredith Renee Traveny, 19, and Shirley Jean Traveny, 56, of Rinehart Lane, Waynesburg, Saturday or Sunday and damaged the paint on the car, state police said.

State police charged Christopher Lee Kiger, 20, of Spraggs with possession of a small amount of marijuana after a traffic accident investigation Tuesday at the intersection of Browns Run and Happy Valley roads, state police said.

State police sad Patricia Faust of Lemont Furnace and Emily Dennis of Adah were not injured in an accident while entering the Laurel Mall at 10:20 a.m. Wednesday.

Store robbed
State police charged Gerald Brown, 44, of McClellandtown with two counts of robbery, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and terroristic threats after an armed robbery at the Shop & Save store in Cherry Tree Square at 8:10 a.m. Saturday.
Police said a clerk at the store said Brown entered her open check-out lane and produced a note demanding money and indicating that he had a gun. The clerk gave Brown an undetermined amount of money, and he fled the store in a gray Chevrolet Cavalier.
Other employees at the Shop ‘n Save were able to get a partial registration plate number and description of the vehicle, and around 8:40 a.m., two state troopers from Belle Vernon stopped Brown on Route 51, near Interstate 70 in Rostraver Township, Westmoreland County.
Brown was arrested, arraigned before District Justice Rick Vernon and lodged in the Fayette County Prison in lieu of $100,000 cash bond. He faces an Oct. 24 preliminary hearing before Vernon.

Death probed
State police and the Fayette County coroner’s office are investigating the death of Andrew Joseph Lackemacher, 31, who was found in his 1048 E. Broadway St. home Thursday.
Police said the coroner’s office will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

Burglary investigated
State police said two white men broke into the home of Kenneth W. Jeffries Jr., 32, of 352 Dearth Road at 10:30 p.m. Thursday, took numerous items and fled in a maroon Volkswagen with a Pennsylvania registration. Anyone with information should call the police station at 724-439-7111.

City police said a skinny, 5-foot-10-inch white man wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt robbed Mellisa Fordyce of Uniontown of her purse 8:55 p.m. Thursday as she was walking from the Great Bethel Baptist Church on West Fayette Street to her vehicle. The purse contained a credit card and a checkbook.

Mark Allen Lovey told city police at 9:15 p.m. Thursday that someone broke into the garage at his East Coffey Street home and took a black and gray 21-inch Yard Machine mower and a Ryobi weed trimmer.

A summary harassment citation was filed against a 13-year-old Marianna boy for allegedly shoving a 14-year-old Fredericktown girl against a locker in the Bethlehem-Center Middle School and grabbing her by the throat just before noon Oct. 15, state police said. The citation was filed at District Justice William Pelkey’s office in California.

Samuel Hlatky, 20, of Smithfield, William Russell Cooley, 28, of Uledi and Debra Jo Dodson, 31, of Smithfield were cited for harassment and disorderly conduct after a fight at the Gold Rush Bar on Brownfield Road at 2:35 a.m. Oct. 4, state police said. Hlatky also was cited for underage drinking, according to police.

State police said somebody stole the spare tire from the bed of a pickup truck owned by Donna Henderson of Leisenring between Oct. 11 and 17 along Church Street.

City police said Audra Lowry of 184 N. Gallatin Ave. reported the theft of her son’s blue and yellow, 26-inch 18-speed mountain bike from her apartment porch at 8:20 p.m. Thursday.

City police said rocks were thrown through two residents’ windows at an apartment building at 155 S. Mount Vernon Ave., and somebody slashed two tires and broke the windshield and side window of a car owned by another resident Thursday at 1:15 a.m.

City police said someone broke the windshield and rear window of Jessie Sedlock’s car at 91 E. Fayette St. Thursday. The damage was discovered at 3:35 a.m.

City police said Karen Adams’ purse, containing a credit card and a bankcard, was taken from her unlocked car along Barton Mill Road. The theft was discovered at 7 a.m. Thursday.

Three-vehicle accident
Tiffany Grimm, 18, of Uniontown, Jerome Earl Conway, 20, of Hopwood and Shirley Thomas, 45, of Uniontown were involved in an Oct. 8 accident on Connellsville Street at Mifflin Avenue, city police said. Thomas was taken to Uniontown Hospital after complaining of neck and back pain.

No one hurt in crash
City police said James P. Matthews, 66, of Cecil and Donald Lewis, 60, of Masontown were not injured in an accident at the intersection of Church and Morgantown streets at 11:40 a.m. Wednesday. One of Lewis’ passengers was extricated from the vehicle, and a pregnant passenger and a 1-year-old passenger were taken to Uniontown Hospital as a precaution, police said.

Teens charged
State police charged a 15-year-old boy as an adult and a 14-year-old as a juvenile for robbing James Estermyer, 18, of Uniontown and Patsy Varano, 27, of Uniontown while they walked at Lemon Wood Acres at 5:50 p.m. Thursday.
Police said the 15-year-old pointed a small black pistol at the victims, and Estermyer gave him $20. The suspect was arraigned before District Justice Michael Rubish and lodged in the Fayette County Prison in lieu of $20,000 percentage bond.
The 14-year-old is incarcerated at the Westmoreland County Juvenile Detention Center, Greensburg.
Though the teens fled the scene, the victims identified them, and police took them into custody.

A windshield and rear window of a vehicle owned by Staci Marie Jeffries of Enamel Street, Uniontown, were broken Thursday night, state police said.

Two people told state police they have been receiving harassing letters by mail from unknown people since Aug. 17.

Accident reported
Cars driven by A. Flowers Jr. and T. Tobin, both of Republic, collided at 7:55 a.m. Thursday at an intersection along two state routes, state police said. Tobin was treated for minor injuries at Uniontown Hospital. Flowers was not injured.

Windows broken
State police are investigating nine criminal mischief instances in South Union Township.
Police said that between 9:45 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Thursday, someone threw ears of corn through the front windows of houses at Heritage Hills Estates and in Hopwood.
Police identified the residents as Perry Martin Schweiss, Arthur Paul Tonozzi, Kathleen Rohr, Albert Bernard Marinelli, Cindy Jean Suchevits, Gerald Burnell Pratt, Jack Randall Anderson, Mary Darlene Mehalic and Richard Dale Ashton.

Man killed in crash
Charles Lucy, 41, of Main Street, Bentleyville, was killed in two-vehicle accident at 3:45 p.m. Friday in Bentleyville.
Washington County Coroner Tim Warco said Lucy was pronounced dead at the scene from blunt force trauma of the head and neck.
Fallowfield Township police said Lucy was traveling north on Bentleyville Road in Fallowfield Township when he crossed into the southbound lane, striking a 1997 vehicle operated by David J. Wachinski of Van Voorhis. Wachinski was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
