Geraldine Watson Costello, 78, of Cardale, Pa., passed away Friday, October 18, 2002, at her home. She was born October 23, 1923, in Dearth, Fayette County, Pa., daughter of John B. Watson and Mary Mumaw Watson.

Geraldine was a member of Church of The Madonna in Cardale and retired from Brownsville Area School District where she had been the Head Cook at Cardale Elementary School.

She also had worked at the Union Supply Store in Dearth for over 10 years.

A son, Dominic Costello Jr. died in 1991. Also deceased are two sisters, Naomi DiLuzzio and Wilma Matlock, a brother, John W. “Cindy” Watson, and parents.

She is survived by her husband, Dominic Costello; a son, Meade Costello of Baltimore, Maryland; two daughters: Geraldine Gayle Clubb and Dawn Costello both of Cardale; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a brother, Danny Watson and his wife, Carol, of Buffington, Pa.

Friends will be received in the DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, New Salem, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday, October 21, until 10:30 a.m. when brief prayers will be said.

A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 11 a.m. in Church of The Madonna in Cardale with Rev. Fr. Stephen R. Bugay as Celebrant.

Interment will follow at LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill.

Parish Wake Service will be held in the Funeral Home today at 8 p.m.
