Richard M. Frederick, age 77, of Sutters Creek, California, and formerly of Bentleyville, Pa., a United States Army Veteran of World War II, an Equipment Operator in the construction industry who had worked on the Alaskan Pipe Line and the St. Lawrence Seaway, who late became self-employed in the excavation business, died Tuesday, October 15, 2002, in California. He is survived by his wife, Mabel Frederick; children: Nellie Frederick Whitehurst of Santa Clara, California, and Daniel Frederick of Ocean Side, California; grandchildren: Michelle Whitehurst, Robert Allen Whitehurst and Daniel George Frederick; and a sister, Adelaide Frederick Montgomery of Claremont, California.

The Family will receive Friends in the Greenlee Funeral Home, 619 Main Street, Bentleyville, Pa., today, October 20, until the service at 1:30 p.m.
