Counterfeit bill found
A customer passed a counterfeit $100 bill for food payment through the drive-up window at the Burger King restaurant on Route 40 around 7:30 p.m. Friday, state police said. The bill was detected with a counterfeit-making pen. The vehicle registration and description of the driver were provided to state police, who are investigating.

Two charged
State police charged Leonard Haynesworth Jr., 22, and Kathryn Sigley, 20, both of Jefferson, with violations of the Controlled Substance, Drug, Device and Cosmetic Act after an investigation into an incident that occurred Aug. 9.

Two charged
Kathleen Marie Hughes, 42, and Brian Ray Recuetz, 24, both of Waynesburg, were charged with disorderly conduct Thursday after they allegedly yelled obscenities at each other over a parking space in front of their residences at 25 and 27 Valley Ford Drive, state police said.

Harassment charge
John Sicklesmith of Greensboro was charged with harassment and disorderly conduct after he allegedly appeared outside of David Garber’s residence in Dilliner, shouting profanity and demanding that Garber step outside so he could assault him at 6:50 p.m. Thursday, state police said.

State police said Chester William Forgen, 16, a 6-foot-1-inch, 145-pound white male, ran away from his home Tuesday.

Windshield broken
Robin D. Dean told Uniontown police Friday that the windshield of her car had been broken. She also reported to police that she was harassed by a man known to her, and she thinks he broke the windshield.

Stolen credit card
A white man tried to buy gasoline with a stolen credit card at Exxon gas station, 215 W. Main St., at 3:07 p.m. Friday, said city police. Clerk Jeff Allen said the man fled the store but returned later, threw money on the counter and ran off.

Tires slashed
Rolly James Thorpe told city police that someone slashed tires on two vehicles and stole four pills and $30 between 9 p.m. Friday and 7:30 a.m. Saturday, said police.
Fairchance
House catches fire
One bedroom of a house at 43 W. Church St. was heavily damaged by fire Saturday around 5:30 p.m.
Fairchance Assistant Fire Chief Dave Smith said the fire was confined to the second-floor bedroom. Other sections of the house suffered water and smoke damage.
Smith said no one was at home when fire erupted. The owner, who was not identified, came home and found smoke coming from the house. A state police fire marshal is investigating.
Fairchance firefighters received assistance from the Smithfield Volunteer Fire Department.

People threatened
According to state police, someone known to Amy and Kenneth Landman of Dunbar threatened them along Woodvale and Connellsville streets Tuesday at 1:30 p.m.

Cars collide
According to state police, Richard Cermak of Republic and John Pustay of Smithfield sustained minor injuries when the vehicles they were operating collided along Route 4006 Saturday.

Vehicles crash
According to state police, vehicles operated by Danielle Hughes, 18, of Uniontown and Dave Robbins of Keisterville crashed along Route 40 Friday at 6:32 p.m. Hughes sustained minor injuries, police said.

Suspected forgery
State police said someone attempted to use a counterfeit $100 bill at the drive-through window at the Burger King restaurant along Route 40 Friday at 7:45 p.m. The counterfeit bill was detected with a counterfeit-marking pen and a description of the suspect was provided, police said.

Tammy Bryte, 39, of Uniontown told state police that someone damaged the siding of her Coolspring Street residence Saturday at 12:50 a.m.

One-car accident
State police said no one was injured when a vehicle operated by John Friend, 20, crashed into a utility pole along Wiggins Lane Saturday at 5:08 p.m.

Lumber stolen
Fred Halsted of Scottdale told state police that someone stole lumber valued at $1,575 from him along Dexter Road between 2 p.m. Friday and 6:45 a.m. Saturday.

Suspect cited
According to state police, Shay Lamont White of Uniontown was cited for disorderly conduct by District Justice Deberah Kula for causing a public disturbance after allegedly shouting profanity at Toya High of Uniontown at CMG Marketing group on Thursday at 5:45 p.m.
