Gladys Marie (Shazer) Myers”Always, Forever, on a shelf in my heart, Mother
Love, your Daughter, Blanche Myers Talbot” Gladys Marie (Shazer) Myers, age 73 years, of Royal Oak, Michigan, and formerly of Uniontown, Pa., died Friday, October 18, 2002, in William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, Michigan.
She was born March 2, 1929, in Uniontown, Pa., daughter of the now late Albert Paul and Martha Jane (Huey) Shazer.
On July 31, 1949, she married Clarence Ray Myers, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Blanche Charmaine Myers Talbot and husband, David L. Talbot, of Roy Oak, Michigan; brothers and sisters: James Shazer and wife Donna (Lux) of Sandwich, Illinois, Marjorie May Shazer of Sandwich, Illinois, Evelyn “Eva” Shazer Mason and husband, Fred, of Befuniak Springs, Florida, Paul Albert Shazer and wife, Carol (Trapp) of Alexandria, Virginia, William Harry “Bill” Shazer and wife, Ellen (Bab) Tavenner of Aurora, Illinois, and Allen Paul Shazer and wife, Terri, of Uniontown, Pa.; and three grandchildren: David Lee Talbot Jr., James Wesley Talbot, and Tina Marie Talbot.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son, Wesley Ray Myers.
Graveside Services will be held at Mount Moriah Baptist Cemetery, Smithfield, Pa., on today at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Dr. Paul Spence officiating.
