Erma B. DeBolt

Erma B. DeBolt, 84, of Masontown, R.D., Pa., died Monday, October 21, 2002, at the Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa. She was born September 17, 1918, in Uniontown, Pa., a daughter of the late Quinter and Nora Collier Barnthouse.

She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Christy W. DeBolt, who died February 11, 2002 and by a brother, Darwin Barnthouse.

She was a faithful, lifelong member of the Church of the Brethren on Robinson Street in Uniontown, where she served over the years as organist, choir director, Sunday School teacher, Deacon for over 50 years and was a member of the Women’s Fellowship.

Erma was retired from Bell Telephone, where she was a service representative in the business office for 40 years.

Surviving are her two sisters, Mrs. Richard (Ruth) Herod of Point Marion and Mrs. Harold (Beulah) Ebersole of Hummelstown, Pa. and a number of loving nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the RICHARD R. HEROD FUNERAL HOME, Point Marion, Pa., today from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday in the Church of the Brethren, Robinson Street, from 10 to 11 a.m., the hour of service with Rev. Dr. Neil Hoppe officiating.

Interment follows in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.
