Gerald B. Cook I, sadly departed this earthly life on Oct. 19, 2002, at the Uniontown Hospital. He was born in Uniontown, Pa., the son of the late Janet B. Cook Burney and Corey Ray.

He was also predeceased by two stepfathers, George H. Cook and the Rev. Henry H. Burney.

Surviving are his sister, Gehovanna Morris and husband, Erik of Uniontown; a father figure, Uncle Cecil Walters of Buffington, Pa.; the following children, Gerald B. Cook II of Hagerstown, Md., Vaughn M. Cook of McCalla, Ala., and Ke’Andre J. Cook and a stepdaughter, Dominique Settle of Uniontown; special nephews, Kishaun Cook, Kerik Morris, Vaughn Gaines and Antwon Cox; and a niece, Ashley Copeland of Uniontown; a best friend, Vaughn Gaines Sr.; and many other close friends and relatives.

Gerry was greatly loved and will be missed by all.

Friends will be received in the MURIEL E. LANTZ FUNERAL HOME, 297 East Main St., Uniontown, Pa., today from 5 to 9 p.m., where services will be held on Wednesday at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Clyde Morris and the Rev. Alfred Thompson officiating. Interment will be in Salem View Cemetery, New Salem, Pa.
