Leona M. Perdue
Leona May Perdue of 427 Mill Run Rd., Brownsville, Pa., died Friday, Oct. 18, 2002, at 10:56 p.m., in Uniontown Hospital. She was born Sept. 9, 1912, the daughter of the late Ida and James Sanders.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Nathaniel Perdue Sr.; a daughter, Gladys Perdue; and sisters, Mamie Epps, Parolee Jones and Elizabeth Paige.
Surviving are three sons, Nathaniel Perdue Jr., and wife, Ruby of Portsmith, Va., John L. Perdue and wife, Lucille of Brownsville, and Raymond Perdue and wife, “Ponda”_ of Brownsville; a daughter, Lillian Perdue Partee of the State of California; a host of grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received in the Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, Baltimore Street, Brownsville, on Friday, Oct. 25, 2002, from 5 to 9 p.m., and on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2002, at 10 a.m., the hour of service, with Pastor Herman B. Jackson officiating. Interment will be in LaFayette Memorial Park. Arrangements are by the LAW FUNERAL HOME, 135 Angle St., Brownsville, Pa.
