Sylvia Harshbarger
Sylvia Harshbarger of Uniontown, Pa., formerly of Markleysburg, Pa., passed away Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2002, in Westmoreland Manor, Greensburg. She was born Nov. 8, 1946, in Sugar Loaf (Ohiopyle), Pa., daughter of the late Albert and Alma Morrison Harshbarger.
Surviving are her daughter, Lida Harshbarger of Uniontown; a sister, Lilly Marsh of Markleysburg; three nieces, Candy Myers and husband, Randy and son, Dillon of Farmington, Christine Smith of Bloomfield, Ohio, and Sherry Daverin of Candia, N.H.; a nephew, Glenn Marsh of Markleysburg; one uncle, Rubin Harshbarger and wife, Helen of Friendsville, Md.; four aunts, Goldie Sager, Daisy Rude and Grace Smith, all of Bruceton Mills, W.Va., and Judy Harshbarger of Friendsville, Md.; and a devoted friend, Becky DeVanney of Chalk Hill.
Sylvia was a devoted Mother, Sister and Aunt; and a friend always willing to give help to anyone she knew. She will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends.
Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, FARMINGTON, today from 7 to 9 p.m., and on Friday from 11 a.m. to noon, the hour of the service, with the Rev. Terry Collins officiating. Interment will follow in Sugar Loaf Cemetery.
