Theft reported
City police said Dorothy L. Montgomery reported the theft of $241 from her purse in her South Mount Vernon avenue home 11 p.m. Tuesday. She told police that she thinks a recent visitor took the cash.

Car crash
Ralph Edwards Vance, 19, of Smithfield struck a deer at 3:14 a.m. Wednesday, said state police. The car crash occurred on Route 119, one mile north of Walnut Hill Road, said police. Vance was wearing a seatbelt at the time, and he was not injured, said police.

Damaged license plate
Someone tried to remove a Pennsylvania registration plate off a vehicle belonging to Tamie Burnsworth of Connellsville, said state police. The incident occurred between 6 p.m. Tuesday and 1:30 a.m. Wednesday at 806 E. Linden Ave., Connellsville, said state police.

Go-cart stolen
A go-cart was stolen from an unlocked shed belonging to Michael Henry, 31, of Connellsville between Oct. 1 and Oct. 21, said state police.

Court order violated
William Henry Martin of Acme was arraigned on $15,000 unsecured bond at District Justice Michael Rubish’s office for allegedly violating a protection from abuse order, according to state police.

Juveniles charged
State police said charges were filed against two girls in Fayette County juvenile court for allegedly taking a vehicle owned by Robin Hall of Leisenring without her permission at her 63 W. Broadway residence Monday at 5:40 p.m.

Bike stolen
Joseph McGalla of Uniontown told state police that someone stole a 20-inch, yellow and black bicycle from his 7 Victoria St. residence Tuesday between 6:30 and 10:30 p.m.

Man injured
According to state police, a vehicle operated by Adam Bosley crashed through several yards and struck a utility pole, ejecting the passenger, Justin Scott, along Route 857 Oct. 16 at 1:40 a.m. Scott was not hurt, but Bosley was treated at Uniontown Hospital, police said.

Woman hurt
According to state police, vehicles operated by Gwendell Nicklow, 51, and Amanda Chipps, 20, both of Smithfield, collided along Route 119 at 3:21 p.m. Oct. 16. Chipps suffered minor injuries, police said.

Ornaments stolen
Cynthia McFadden, 30, of Mount Pleasant told state police that someone stole 11 Halloween ornaments from her lawn along Richey Road between 2 a.m. Monday and 3 p.m. Tuesday.

Vehicles crash
According to state police, vehicles operated by Carolyn Kaszowski, 19, of Dunbar and Tyson Krslar, 23, of Normalville crashed along Route 119 at East End Road Aug. 31 at 4:45 p.m.

Bomb threat reported
State police said someone called the Mapletown Junior/Senior High School office, saying a bomb was in the building, Thursday around 10 a.m. The school was evacuated, and state police and firefighters from Greensboro and Cumberland Township searched the building but found nothing suspicious.

Drugs found
State police said they seized suspected steroids and marijuana, drug paraphernalia and $2,710 from the Steel Street home of a 25-year-old man at 4 p.m. Wednesday after Fayette County Adult Probation officers searched the residence and discovered the suspected steroids. The suspected drugs will be tested at the state police crime lab in Greensburg. Charges have not been filed.

Man arrested
City police took Elijah Peters, 21, into custody Wednesday at 10 a.m. at 60 S. Mount Vernon Ave. on a desertion warrant issued by the U.S. Marine Corps. Police said Peters was held at the police station until a Marines team came for him.

Operation Safe Stop
State police said one motorist was cited for meeting or overtaking a school bus Wednesday in the Laurel Highlands School District. Officers followed two bus routes in Operation Safe Stop, which was aimed at alerting drivers about the dangers of passing stopped, loading or unloading school buses. This week is National School Bus Safety Week, and state police, PennDOT and school bus associations joined forces in the program.

Duane L. Murray of Brownsville told state police his gold 200 Saturn SLZ sedan was stolen from a garage at 621 Cherry St., Tower Hill 2, between 11 p.m. Tuesday and 1:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Theft probed
A known 22-year-old suspect allegedly stole a purse owned by Delores Elias, 66, of Star Junction at 11:55 p.m. Wednesday from a table in Tonette’s Lounge kitchen, state police said.

A juvenile’s silver purse was stolen from Mini Tek Wireless in the Uniontown Mall at 8 p.m. Wednesday, state police said.

Two men injured
State police said Robert Olsen of Cardale and his passenger, Charles Norman of Hibbs, suffered minor injuries at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday on Ball Hill on Route 166 when Olsen swerved to avoid a deer and hit an embankment.

Gas stolen
The driver of an older model white car with a Pennsylvania registration pumped gasoline and left the Dairy Mart without paying at 8:10 p.m. Wednesday, state police said.

Camera stolen
City police said someone stole an Avetax camera owned by Michelle Nevlud from her car that was in her garage at 68 Union St. She reported the theft at 3 p.m. Wednesday and said it occurred sometime overnight.

– Bethany Pollon, 23, of 2705 Clarkes Landing Drive, Oakton, for disorderly conduct after she allegedly yelled obscenities at an officer on patrol in the 200 block of Third Street at 1:55 a.m. Sunday.
– Jason Garver, 22, of 240 Colonial Drive, Waynesburg, for disorderly conduct for an altercation at 324 Second St. at 1:57 a.m. Saturday.
– Steven McDowell, 18, of Lancaster for underage drinking and a minor operating a vehicle with alcohol in his system at 10:59 p.m. Sunday.
– Melissa Korensky, 19, of 261 California Road for a noise complaint at 2:18 a.m. Oct. 17.
– Alan Schmude, 20, Jeffrey Bakota, 23, and Jason R. Watkins, 21, all of Munhall, for disorderly conduct after police allegedly found the three at the corner of Pennsylvania and Wood streets breaking glass and being loud at 12:23 a.m. Oct. 12.
– Jennifer Smee, 21, of 631 Hilltop Drive for disorderly conduct after police responded to a complaint of loud music at 1:34 a.m. Oct. 8.
– Steven Illar, 25, of Prospect Avenue for criminal mischief and Christina Rettura, 22, of 214 Third St. for disorderly conduct for an incident at Rettura’s residence at 2:13 a.m. Oct. 12.
– Nicole Roberts, 23 of Glassport and Benjamin Latini, 23, of Kittanning for disorderly conduct after police allegedly found them on Second Street yelling at each other at 12:48 a.m. Oct. 12.

Man not injured
Robert Brooks of New Geneva was not injured when the vehicle he was driving struck a fence along Route 88 at 10:17 p.m. Oct. 18 while trying to avoid a deer, police said.

California police served a warrant on Edward J. Deems, 23, of Bentleyville at 801 Orchard St. at 1:44 p.m. Oct. 17 and handed him over to the Washington County Sheriff’s Department.

Men charged
California police charged Ryan C. Jones, 18, and Jeffrey Ucciardo, 20, both of Kittanning, with criminal trespass after the two allegedly entered the home of Tiffany Mechling, 20, also of Kittanning, at 4:50 a.m. Oct. 11 and demanded that she turn over a dog.

California police charged Jonathan Faulkner, 23, of 825 Third St., Edward Miller, 18, of Fairview and Steve Morse, 21, of Clearville with criminal trespass after police allegedly found them in the old, condemned Phi Kappa Sigma house on 525 Third St. at 3:40 p.m. Oct. 4. Police said Faulkner, a fraternity member, was looking for memorabilia there.

California police said Aaron Paull, 25, of 128 Mountain View St. was charged with unlawful restraint, simple assault and disorderly conduct after he allegedly took his girlfriend, Erin Watts, no age given, from her California at Jefferson apartment without her consent after an argument at 3:55 p.m. Oct. 13.

Woman charged
California police said Renee Skolyak, 41, of 57 Main St., Daisytown, was charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving and obedience to authorized persons directing traffic after a two-vehicle accident at Wood Street and Malden Road at 1 p.m. Sept. 27. According to police, Skolyak had a blood-alcohol content of .173 percent.
