Esther G. Sabo Goisse, 73, of Fairchance, Pa., died Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2002, in Uniontown Hospital. She was born Nov. 27, 1928, in Uniontown, Pa., daughter of the late Joseph Sabo and Mary Stark Sabo.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Elwood Goisse; one sister, Ann Sabo; two brothers, Stanley and Joseph Sabo; and one granddaughter, Brittany Marie Goisse.

Surviving are a son, Larry Jo Goisse and his wife, Stacey of Uniontown, Pa.; five grandchildren, Brian Gottfried and his wife, Lisa of Boca Raton, Fla., Nicole Ashley Goisse of South Korea, Larry Jo Goisse Jr., and Christopher James Goisse, both of Dunbar, Pa., and Cody Matthew Goisse of Uniontown, Pa.; and four sisters, Helen McClosky of Stockbridge, Ga., Madge Sabo of Cleveland, Ohio, Dorothy Kovach of Uniontown, Pa., and Clara Travarca and husband, Joe of Cleveland, Ohio.

Esther was a member of the Alfred Wilson VFW Post No. 7219, Fairchance Ladies Auxiliary.

The family will receive friends in the GOLDSBORO-TOMI FUNERAL HOME, 21 East Church St., Fairchance, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Saturday until 1 p.m., the hour of service, with the Rev. Maggie Foreman officiating. Entombment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.
