Joy A. Cully

Joy A. Cully, 63, of Hopwood, Pa., passed away Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2002, at her home. She was born Aug. 1, 1939, in Uniontown, Pa., daughter of the late Edward H. and Laura A. Hoffman Savage.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Roland R. Cully, in 1989; three sisters, Lillian Fowler, Thelma LaClair and Mary Leasure; and a daughter-in-law, Sara Badger Cully.

Surviving are four children, Tammy Miller and husband, Richard of Riverside, Ohio, Scott Cully of Morgantown, W.Va., Julie Shterenvaser and husband, Shimon of Southwest Ranches, Fla., and Laurie Antoon and husband, Paul of Connellsville, Pa.; and five grandchildren, Rachel and Joshua Miller, Katelyn and Megan Antoon and Roland Shterenvaser.

Joy was a member of Hopwood Free Methodist Church, a retired schoolteacher from Laurel Highlands School District, and was a member of L.H.E.A. and P.S.E.A.

Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Saturday in Hopwood Free Methodist Church from 11:300 a.m. to 1 p.m., the hour of service, with the Rev. William Moull officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Sang Run, Md. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hopwood Free Methodist Church, Hopwood, Pa., or the Fayette Friends of Animals, Lemont Furnace, PA 15456.
