Margaret V. Humphrey
Margaret V. Humphrey, 84, of Little Brownfield, Pa., died Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2002, in residence. She was born Nov. 17, 1917, in Phillips, Pa., daughter of the late Charles Smith and LuLu Bryson Smith.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Harry L. Humphrey Sr., and son, Charles Dwayne Humphrey. She was the last surviving member of her parent’s family.
Margaret was formerly employed at Fabrizi’s Restaurant until her retirement.
She also attended the Little Brownfield Free Methodist Church.
Surviving are her children, Harry L. “Sonny” Humphrey Jr., and wife, Marjorie of Uniontown, Jan Wolverton and husband, Al of Hopwood, Springer “Hump” Humphrey and wife, June of Rosedale, and Colleen Brazill Worley and husband, John of Little Brownfield; eight grandchildren and their spouses; six great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Donna Lee Humphrey of Little Brownfield.
The family will receive friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church St., Fairchance, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Saturday until 11 a.m., the hour of service, with the Rev. Wayne Whoolery officiating. Interment will follow in White Rock Cemetery, Georges Township, Pa.
