Christner-Nedley
St. Therese Roman Catholic Church, Uniontown, was the setting for the marriage of Amanda Marie Nedley of McSherrystown and Richard Alan Christner of East Berlin. The Rev. Kenneth Zaccagnini officiated the nuptial Mass on Aug. 10.
The bride is the daughter of Harry and Deb Nedley of Eggleston Street, Uniontown. The bridegroom is the son of Ray and Theresa Christner of Thornton Road, Brownsville.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a mate satin princess line strapless gown with a chapel train, adorned with embroidery, pearls and sequins. A crystal and pearl tiara held a waist-length veil of illusion.
Allison Nedley, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Erin McAllister, aunt of the bride; Mindi Bopp, aunt of the bride; Andrea Christner, sister-in-law of the bridegroom; Holly Nedley, cousin of the bride, and Stehanie Bell. Natalie Nedley, Kristin Nedley, cousins of the bride, and Alyssa Christner, niece of the bridegroom, were flower girls.
Best man was Ray Christner, brother of the bridegroom. Ushers were Tony Perrazola, cousin of the bridegroom; Mike Smitley, Ken McClelland, Tony Disidora, and Ryan Lee, cousin of the bridegroom. Jeffrey Nedley, cousin of the bride, was ring bearer.
A reception was held at the Hopwood Firemen’s Social Hall.
The bride is a 1996 graduate of Laurel Highlands High School and a 2001 graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She is a second-grade teacher with Conewago Valley School District in Hanover.
The bridegroom is a 1996 graduate of Brownsville Area High School and is a department manager with Lowe’s Home Improvement Warehouse in Hanover.
The couple honeymooned on a western Caribbean cruise to Grand Caymans, Cozumel, and New Orleans.
They reside at 136 A. North St., McSherrystown.
