Car stolen
Duane L. Murray of Brownsville told state police his gold 200 Saturn SLZ sedan was stolen from a garage at 621 Cherry St., Tower Hill 2, between 11 p.m. Tuesday and 1:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Theft probed
A known 22-year-old suspect allegedly stole a purse owned by Delores Elias, 66, of Star Junction at 11:55 p.m. Wednesday from a table in Tonette’s Lounge kitchen, state police said.

Purse stolen
A juvenile’s silver purse was stolen from Mini Tek Wireless in the Uniontown Mall at 8 p.m. Wednesday, state police said.

Two men injured
State police said Robert Olsen of Cardale and his passenger, Charles Norman of Hibbs, suffered minor injuries at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday on Ball Hill on Route 166 when Olsen swerved to avoid a deer and hit an embankment.

Camera stolen
City police said someone stole an Avetax camera owned by Michelle Nevlud from her car that was in her garage at 68 Union St. She reported the theft at 3 p.m. Wednesday and said it occurred sometime overnight.

Man not injured
Robert Brooks of New Geneva was not injured when the vehicle he was driving struck a fence along Route 88 at 10:17 p.m. Oct. 18 while trying to avoid a deer, police said.

Warrant served
California police served a warrant on Edward J. Deems, 23, of Bentleyville at 801 Orchard St. at 1:44 p.m. Oct. 17 and handed him over to the Washington County Sheriff’s Department.

Men charged
California police charged Ryan C. Jones, 18, and Jeffrey Ucciardo, 20, both of Kittanning, with criminal trespass after the two allegedly entered the home of Tiffany Mechling, 20, also of Kittanning, at 4:50 a.m. Oct. 11 and demanded that she turn over a dog.

California police charged Jonathan Faulkner, 23, of 825 Third St., Edward Miller, 18, of Fairview and Steve Morse, 21, of Clearville with criminal trespass after police allegedly found them in the condemned Phi Kappa Sigma house on 525 Third St. at 3:40 p.m. Oct. 4. Police said Faulkner, a fraternity member, was looking for memorabilia there.

Man charged
California police said Aaron Paull, 25, of 128 Mountain View St. was charged with unlawful restraint, simple assault and disorderly conduct after he allegedly took his girlfriend, Erin Watts, no age given, from her California at Jefferson apartment without her consent after an argument at 3:55 p.m. Oct. 13.

Woman charged
California police said Renee Skolyak, 41, of 57 Main St., Daisytown, was charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving and obedience to authorized persons directing traffic after a two-vehicle accident at Wood Street and Malden Road at 1 p.m. Sept. 27. According to police, Skolyak had a blood-alcohol content of .173 percent.

Two arrested
Redstone Township police arrested two people Oct. 11 at 4:35 p.m. following a stop for suspected drug activity at Dunlap Creek Village.
Annette Robison, no age or current address listed, previously of Uniontown, was arrested on outstanding warrants for drug charges and prostitution. She was also charged with possession of a controlled substance. She was jailed in lieu of $10,000 cash bond on the drug charge and $1,000 each on the outstanding warrants.
Anthony Quinn Powell of West Virginia was cited for defiant trespassing and outstanding traffic warrants. He was jailed in lieu of $450 cash bond.

Crack cocaine
Shirley Jones, 37, of Fairmont, W.Va., was arrested by Redstone Township police Oct. 11 at 5:08 p.m. on charges of possession of a controlled substance. Jones allegedly was in possession of crack cocaine when officers approached her on Steele Street in Republic. She was arraigned before District Justice Mark Blair and jailed in lieu of $5,000 bond.

Drug arrest
Redstone Township police arrested David W. Miller, 48, of Merrittstown, for possession of a controlled substance after seeing him on Fairgarden Street in Republic with two other men behaving suspiciously.
According to police, one man tried to pass something to another at the rear of a truck as the police car approached them. A pill bottle containing a plastic bag of suspected powdered cocaine was found under the truck. Another bag of suspected cocaine was found in Miller’s pants pocket.
Miller was arraigned before District Justice Mark Blair and released on $10,000 unsecured bond.

Indecent assault
State police in Waynesburg are investigating a report that a juvenile was sexually assaulted by another juvenile near a cemetery south of the Jefferson-Morgan High School football field at 9 p.m. Oct. 18. Police responded to the field after several girls reported that a friend had been sexually assaulted.

DUI crash
Mark Gustina, 29, of Verona was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol following an Oct. 19 accident at the exit 14 along Interstate 79. State police said he was traveling south at 4 a.m. when he began to turn on to the exit ramp.
He reportedly re-entered I-79 by driving through the medial strip, where he hit and destroyed the exit sign, about 75 feet of guiderail and eight support posts. Apparently, he also hit a lamppost, which fell onto the southbound lanes and was hit by another vehicle.
Police said his blood-alcohol level was .171 percent. Waynesburg police assisted with traffic control until the lamppost was removed and one lane was reopened to traffic.

Man robbed
City police said Kenneth Baker of Uniontown reported that he was beaten and robbed along Connellsville Street 11:20 p.m. Thursday. He said he was approached by 10 men who demanded money. He was beaten until he fell to the ground and was then kicked. They took $8. Baker was transported to Uniontown Hospital with cuts on his face, head, elbows and a possible broken jaw.

Church break-in
City police responded to an alarm at the St. Therese Roman Catholic Church 1:30 a.m. Friday. A rear window was broken and an interior door was damaged, but nothing appeared to be missing. State police also responded.

City police said somebody entered a garage and shed owned by Donald Smith of West Craig Street and stole a Craftsman tool chest containing various hand tools, a red mountain bike and portable torch kit between Oct. 18 and 22.

State police in Uniontown said a rock was thrown through a window on a truck owned by Floyd Edward Shroyer of Connellsville that was parked in the Wheeler bottom lot along Riverside Road Thursday afternoon and took a purse containing $603 owned by Amy Beth Kozub of Connellsville. Police ask anybody with information about the incident to call the station at 724-439-7111.

Driver fled
State police said Buddy Allen Watters, 28, of Jefferson struck a tree along Icebox Road 10 p.m. Oct. 22 and then fled.

Burglary reported
State police said a Yamaha ATV and various construction equipment were stolen from three construction trailers along Thompson Road that are owned by Atlas America Inc. of Moon Twp. on Oct 18 or 19. Windows on an office trailer were also broken.

Break-in reported
State police said somebody broke into the Liberty Street home of Robert Dwayne Dice, 41, and rummaged through his belongings, and then broke his garage door and entered his garage between 6:30 and 9:45 p.m. Oct.20. Nothing was reported stolen.

Motorcycle stolen
A yellow and blue 1986 Suzuki RM125 owned by John A. Klink, 32, was stolen from a shed at his Coolspring Street home Oct. 23 or 24, state police said. A padlock on the shed was cut.

Window broken
A window on Raymond D. Hersh’s 165 Bottom St. home was broken 11:15 p.m. Oct. 8, state police said.

Truck recovered
DT Construction’s 1990 GMC truck was stolen from Leisenring-Vanderbilt Road Sept. 28 and recovered from Jackson Hill Road in Upper Tyrone Twp. Sept. 30, state police said. The theft is under investigation.

State police said a car stereo was stolen from an Acura Integra owned by Jason Byrne of Fairchance that was parked in the Colonial Tavern lot Oct. 8.

Taryn Louis Humberson, 14, of McClellandtown did not get on the school bus or come home Oct. 24, state police said. She was wearing a pink shirt, black jacket with silver stripes, blue jeans and white Nike tennis shoes.

One-car accident
Shequita Bryant, 20, of Allison suffered a minor injury when she hit an embankment along Allison Road 1 p.m. Oct. 23. Her passenger, Matt Jefferson, 18, of Uniontown, suffered a moderate injury, state police said.

Two-vehicle accident
State police said Gerri Ann Ballen, 43, of Bentleyville struck Randolph Gifford, 31, of Mount Morris head on Oct. 17 on Route 19 after she veered into the southbound lane to avoid a deer. There was one passenger in each vehicle, but no report of injuries. Southwest Ambulance Service also responded. Both vehicles were towed.

Bumper removed
A bumper on a vehicle owned by Dennis Lawrence Price, 21, of Waynesburg was removed, damaged and placed on the ground behind the vehicle Oct. 19 or 20 at McGilton’s Auto on East High Street.

A Sony Playstation II and Direct TV access card were stolen from William Hunter’s 128 Second St., Clarksville, home between 9 and 10:30 p.m. Thursday, state police said.

Somebody damaged a field gate at 207 Big Six Road owned by Perry F. Guthrie of Smithfield Tuesday or Wednesday, state police said.

Man cited
James William Nebraska, 26, of Lemont Furnace was cited with harassment for allegedly punching Danny Bruce Valentine, 37, of Lemont Furnace in the face 3:40 p.m. Thursday at 207B Youngstown Road, state police said.

Man arrested
Richard Thomas Vinson, 52, of Waynesburg was cited for public drunkenness following a 2:30 a.m. Wednesday incident in Greene County Memorial Hospital and placed in the county prison, state police said.

A criminal mischief citation was filed against David Carey, 27, of Mount Morris after Ethel Sander, 42, of Mount Morris alleged he broke a window at her home Oct. 21 at 10:20 p.m., state police said.

State police said about $200 in coins were stolen Oct. 17 or 18 from the Dilliner Hill Road home of Theresa R. Smith, 25.
