Kelley sworn in
Michelle Lee Kelley of Uniontown, formerly of Farmington, was recently sworn into the practice of law by the Fayette County Judge Ralph C. Warman. Kelley was presented by Peter U. Hook, former Fayette County district attorney, and a current assistant district attorney in Greene County.
Upon graduation from Uniontown High School in 1988, Kelley enrolled at Penn State Fayette Campus, where she majored in the administration of justice and was on the dean’s list.
During the same year, Kelley began working at the Nemacolin Woodlands Resort and Spa, where she remained until accepting her current position as a law clerk for Warman.
In 1995, Kelley began studies at the West Virginia University College of Law. While in law school, she was a member of Phi Delta Phi, Women’s Law Caucus, the American Bar Association Student Division and the American Trial Lawyers Association Student Division.
Kelley was also one of six students selected to participate in the West Virginia University College of Law Immigration Clinic and appeared before the Immigration and Nationalization Service in Arlington, Va.
In 1997, Kelly completed her internship in the Fayette County District Attorney’s office under Hook.
Following graduation from law school in 1998, Kelley transferred from her position at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort and Spa to the 84 Lumber Legal Department.
She was hired as Warman’s law clerk in March of 1999.
Kelley is the daughter of Charlene Kelley of Farmington. She is married to Michael Henney.
The couple has three children, Nathan, 6 and 2-year-old twins Maxwell and Alexander.
