Luanna M. Toston
Luanna May Fike Toston, 63, of Friendsville, Md., devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all, went to meet her Lord on Friday Oct. 25, 2002. She was born Jan. 14, 1939, in Friendsville, Md., daughter of the late Clyde and Mary Bowser Fike.
She was a member of the Markleysburg Church of the Brethren. She was very active in the church and with senior citizen groups.
Surviving are her husband, John R. Toston; four children, Lois Tallentire and husband, Jim of Markleysburg, Pa., Brenda Reese and husband, Rick of Bruceton Mills, W.Va., and Jerry Sisler and wife, Sharon and Gordon Sisler and wife, Monica, all of Friendsville, Md.; stepchildren, John Toston Jr., and Lori Toston; two brothers, Robert Fike of Shrewsbury, Pa., and Clyde Fike Jr., and wife, Awilda of Friendsville, Md.; three sisters, Florence Leighty of Markleysburg, Dorthy Ferrence of Clairton, Pa., and Linda Miller and husband, Donald of Markleysburg; 16 grandchildren; Eric Savage, Eric Reese, Heidi Tallentire, James Tallentire, Brian Reese, John Tallentire, Adam Sisler, Sarah Tallentire, Hannah Tallentire, Nathan Reese, Andrew Sisler, Rachel Tallentire, Kadie Tallentire, Casey Sisler, Lydia Sisler and Ella Sisler; two step-grandchildren, John Toston II and Angelica Toston; one great-grandchild, Kaitlyn Riffon; and numerous nieces and nephews, who she loved very much.
Friends were received in the RODNEY S. TURNER FUNERAL HOME, 254 Main St., Markleysburg, Pa., on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m., and will be received today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Additional visitation will be held on Monday from 10 to 11 a.m., in the Markleysburg Church of the Brethren, with the Rev. Joe Brown and Pastor Donnie Savage. Interment will follow in Asher Glade Cemetery, Friendsville, Md.
