NuRelm expands into Baltimore, Washington, D.C.

2 min read

NuRelm E-Business Software of Uniontown has expanded into the Baltimore-Washington, D.C., area. A developer of e-business software for the mid-market, the company has quadrupled in size since entering the software market just over a year ago.

NuRelm CEO Sam Shabaan believes that the Baltimore-D.C. region provides the ideal market for the company’s expansion.

“Choosing Baltimore-D.C. as a target area wasn’t a difficult decision; it’s really a perfect fit for us,” he said.

“It is close in proximity to Pittsburgh, and the area is home to many firms, colleges, and non-profits that could utilize NuRelm to cut Web site maintenance costs and maximize the effectiveness of their Web site content.”

The firm has already signed several resellers in the area, including DanSources Technical Services Inc., located in Rockville, Md.

Commenting on the partnership, DanSources Vice President Paul Boudrye stated, “We feel that NuRelm has developed a suite of cutting-edge software products that will save our clients considerable time and money by putting non-technical users in control of their own Web site content. We’re even considering hiring additional staff to deal exclusively with NuRelm’s software products. I’m confident that our alliance with NuRelm will be highly beneficial for both companies.”

DanSources, along with other resellers in the area, has sent representatives to NuRelm’s Uniontown facilities for product training and education.

As for getting NuRelm’s name out in the Baltimore-D.C. business community, Shabaan stated that the firm would implement an aggressive marketing campaign, with trade shows, networking events, and sponsorships all in the works.

Additionally, NuRelm will continue to sign more resellers in the area.

Shaaban is convinced that these plans will translate into the same success NuRelm has enjoyed in the Pittsburgh region, and said that the company has plans to branch out into additional metropolitan areas within the next 18 months.

“The expansion to the Baltimore-D.C. area is another step in NuRelm’s path to becoming a national player in the software industry,” he said.

NuRelm has been doing business from its Uniontown offices since 2001.
