Lula “Lou” Wingrove

Lula “Lou” Wingrove, 69, of Winstead, Point Marion R.D., Pa., died Thursday, October 24, 2002, at the home of her daughter in Morgantown, W.Va. She was born September 26, 1933, near Webster Springs, West Virginia, daughter of the late Ethel McCourt.

She retired in 1996 as a Supervisor in the Housekeeping Department of the Health Sciences Center at West Virginia University where she had worked for 21 years.

Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Andy Wingrove, whom she married on June 23, 1952; three children: Alfred A. Wingrove Jr. of New Orleans, Louisiana, William Eugene Wingrove of Point Marion, Pa., and Debra Wingrove of Morgantown, West Virginia; three grandchildren: Twila Wingrove and Brad and Stacy Chance all of Morgantown, West Virginia; and a sister, Mary Duckworth of Baltimore, Maryland.

Friends will be received in the RICHARD R. HEROD FUNERAL HOME, 501 Morgantown Street, Point Marion, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, October 29, until 11 a.m., the hour of Service with the Rev Scott Teets officiating.

Interment follows in Cedar Grove Cemetery, New Geneva, Pa.

Visitation was also held Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.
