Mary Ann Bordas
Mary Ann Bordas, 86, of Greensburg, Pa., formerly of Vanderbilt, Pa., died Saturday, October 26, 2002, in Frick Hospital, Mount Pleasant, Pa. She was born in Vanderbilt on August 16, 1916, daughter of John Michael and Anna (Adams) Bordas.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Dawson and retired Cafeteria Supervisor for Connellsville Area Schools.
Surviving are a number of nieces and nephews including Annamary Markitell and her husband, James, and daughter, Kristin, of Greensburg, Pa., with whom she resided, John Scowary and his wife, Bonnie, and Jonathon and Jordon of Perryopolis, Pa.
Six brothers, George, John, Michael, Andrew, Thomas and J. L., three sisters, Gertrude Leonard, Martha Scowary, Virginia Gladden, and parents preceded her in death.
Friends will be received in the RALPH E. GALLEY FUNERAL HOME, Dawson, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, October 29, until 9:30 a.m. when a Prayer Service will be held.
Funeral Mass follows at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Connellsville, with Rev. Fr. Terry Hercik as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Connellsville.
Wake Service will be held today at 3:45 p.m.
Visitation was also held Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.
