Juvenile harassed
State police said a juvenile harassed another juvenile along Clark Road Thursday between 3:40 and 3:50 p.m. while at a bus stop.

Attempted burglary
D. R. Yurhouse of North Huntingdon told state police that someone tried to break into his garage at his Everson Street residence between 6:30 p.m. Oct. 21 and 7 a.m. Tuesday.
Franklin Twp.
Hit-and-run probed
According to state police, someone sideswiped a vehicle operated by Rahmy Poling of Uniontown and then fled the scene along Route 51 Thursday at 11:30 p.m.
Everson
DVD player stolen
Dana Earnestly, 24, of Everson told state police that someone stole a Classic brand DVD player from her 310 Graft St. residence between 11 a.m. Oct. 21 and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

One injured
State police said Patricia Herbert, 71, of Uniontown lost control of her vehicle and struck a guiderail Sunday at 1:35 p.m. along Route 40 eastbound after a vehicle merged into her lane. Herbert was not injured, police said, but a passenger in her vehicle, Donald Buttermore, 73, of Uniontown suffered a minor injury.

Hit-and-run probed
State police said an unknown driver struck a parked vehicle owned by Jeremy Burnsworth of South Connellsville sometime between 12:15 and 2 a.m. Saturday.

Teen charged
State police said a juvenile was charged with theft after he took woodworking tools from the Fayette County Vocational-Technical School Tuesday at 2:20 p.m. The tools were later recovered and charges against the juvenile were filed with juvenile probation, police said.

Criminal mischief
State police said someone put glue in all the locks at Berkeley Surgical Corp. and spray painted the building sometime between Friday and Sunday. Anyone with information about the incident should call state police at 724-439-7111.

Theft reported
The Rev. Howard E. Dantzler Jr., 68, of Smithfield told state police someone removed a rifle from his Morgantown Road home Tuesday at 11 p.m.

Man charged
State police said Eric John Conti, 30, of Pleasant Unity was charged with retail theft after he pumped $14 worth of gasoline at BFS Foods in Connellsville May 20 at 7:56 a.m. and fled the scene without paying. Charges against Conti were filed at the office of District Justice Dwight Shaner, police said.
Clarksville
DUI arrest
State police said a 46-year-old Clarksville man was arrested Friday at 2:26 a.m. after he appeared to be intoxicated during a traffic stop on a legislative route. Police said the man refused to take a breath test and that refusal will result in a 12-month suspension of his driver’s license.

Theft reported
Arthur Smith of Elizabeth told state police that someone stole her disabled vehicle along Seven Creeks Road sometime Oct. 21 between 1 and 2 a.m.
Brownsville
Shots fired
Brownsville police were called to the Brownsville Hotel at 419 Market St. Saturday just before 2 a.m. for a report of shots fired from a handgun.
According to police, an unknown person left the bar after getting into a fight, and fired the weapon into the air. Bartender Cindy Aldrich of Uniontown told police that someone removed $300 in tip money from behind the bar during the gunfire incident.
Brownsville
Four injured
Four people received minor injuries Monday morning in an accident involving a dump truck and a sport utility vehicle.
Police said the accident occurred around 8 a.m. at High and Broad streets. The dump truck is owned by the Fayette County Housing Authority and was driven by Steven Rockocy Jr., 36, of 724 Howard St., Brownsville. The passenger vehicle was driven by Caroline Johnson, 46, of Brier Hill. Both drivers and two passengers in Johnson’s car were taken to Brownsville General Hospital for treatment.

ATV recovered
A 16-year-old male from Chestnut Ridge was arrested for stealing an ATV owned by James Bryson, 29, of Smock on Sept. 15, state police in Uniontown said. The suspect allegedly burned a tie down strap that was securing the $4,500 ATV to a trailer along Hatfield Road and then pushed it into the woods. It was recovered that day.

Man charged
Brian Joel Swope, 28, of Rogers Mills was arrested on assault charges for allegedly kicking and punching Rachel Ann Swope, 26, of Normalville at 362 Clinton Road on Oct. 19, state police said.

Three vehicle accident
State police said a 16-year-old male from Smithfield, Betty Jo McDonough, 53, of Uniontown, and Lawrence D. Lemmon, 59, of Uniontown were involved in a Sept. 17 accident on Route 119.McDonough and Lemmon had minor injuries.
Wharton Twp.
Man cited
Robert Ritchey of Chalk Hill was cited for disorderly conduct and trespassing after he allegedly beat on a door and window on Carla Bolish’s Chalk Hill home at 10 p.m. Friday and began yelling obscenities, state police said.
Cumberland Twp.
Assault
State police charged Jeremiah Lee Metcalf, 23, of Carmichaels with aggravated assault after an altercation with his brother, 17-year-old Mark William Metcalf, at 111 Cumberland Village on Sunday morning.
According to police, after a verbal argument between the brothers at approximately 1:30 a.m., Jeremiah Metcalf confronted his brother with a knife and slashed him in the right shoulder and other areas. Police said Metcalf was later apprehended in Nemacolin, after a vehicle accident following the incident, while his brother refused medical treatment after the incident.
Jeremiah Metcalf was arraigned before District Justice Neil Canan and placed in the Greene County Jail in lieu of $40,000 cash bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 6 at 10 a.m. at Canan’s office, police said.

Burglary
State police said someone through a cinder block through the front door of 77 Market at 12:40 a.m. Monday and stole cigarettes and tobacco products from the store before leaving the scene.
Cumberland Twp.
Attempted theft
State police said someone tried to steal a dirt bike belonging to Anthony Ray McMahon, 17, of Carmichaels Sunday at 5 a.m., but a neighbor along Wahula Road saw the incident and the people involved fled the scene without the bike.
Jefferson Twp.
Liquor violation
State police said a non-traffic citation was filed against Martin Gonzalez Moreno, 26, of Fullerton, Calif., after he was found to have an open alcoholic beverage container while riding in a car along Route 21 Sunday at approximately 1:30 a.m. The citation was filed at the office of District Justice Neil Canan, police said.
