Dorkus A. Palyas, 79, of Scenery Hill, Pa., died Monday, October 28, 2002 in the Washington Hospital Emergency Room, Washington, Pa. Mrs. Palyas was a member of the Ave Maria Parish.

She is survived by the following children: five sons, Matthew Palyas of Bentleyville, George Palyas of Scenery Hill, John “Lucky” Palyas of Amity, Thomas Palyas of Scenery Hill and Paul Palyas at home; two daughters, Jeanne Palyas at home and Susan Oshetsky of Carmichaels; two brothers Rudy Stanec of Hopwood and John Stanec of Uniontown; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Friends will be received today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Greenlee Funeral Home, 2830 Main Street, Beallsville, Pa. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Ave Maria Church, Bentleyville, Pa. on Thursday at 1:30 p.m.
