Kathryn M. Karas Hrebenar
Kathryn M. Karas Hrebenar, 89, of Fernandina Beach, Florida, formerly of Shoaf, Pa., died Monday, October 28, 2002, in Avante Nursing Home, Jacksonville Beach, Florida. She was born September 15, 1913 in Gilmore, Pa., daughter of the late John Karas and Sophia Yankura Karas.
She was predeceased by her husband Joseph P. Hrebenar; a daughter Kathryn Migyanko; a son, Ronald Joseph Hrebenar; two sisters Mary Boniface and Lena Jankura and three brothers John, Mike and Steve Karas.
Surviving are one son Kevin Hrebenar and his wife Rona of Fernandina Beach, Florida; three grandchildren Amelia Hrebenar, Ronald and Steven Migyanko; one great grandson Phillip Migyanko; one sister Sophia Messler of Pittsburgh and a brother Martin Karas of Fairchance, Pa.
The family will receive friends in the GOLDSBORO-TOMI FUNERAL HOME, 21 East Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday until 9 a.m. when a Blessing Service will be held followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in Ss. Cyril & Methodius R.C. Church, Fairchance, Pa. with the Rev. Fr. David J. Nazimek as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Fairchance, Pa.
A Wake Service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday evening.
