Nellie C. Sandzimier Wise
Nellie C. Sandzimier Wise, 81, a prominent Scottdale business woman, died Monday, October 28, 2002 at her residence surrounded by her loving family . Nellie was a long-time and faithful member of St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, Scottdale, the Catholic Daughters of Americas Court Lambing 314 and a member of the Scottdale American Legion Post Ladies Auxiliary and the Scottdale Garden Club.
She was the owner and operator of Wise’s Restaurant of Scottdale for the past 49 years.
She is survived by four children, Daniel E. Wise of Scottdale, Mary Catherine LeGrande and her husband Larry of Indonesia, James R. Wise and his wife Susan of Oakdale, Pa. and Elizabeth Ann Funk and her husband Ronald of Mt. Pleasant; 11 grandchildren, Nicole Wise, Lauren, Jonathan, Abby, Matt and Faith LaGrande, Cory and Claire Wise, Ronnie, Jana and Sheri Funk; brothers and sisters, Frank Sandzimier and wife Anita of Canoga Park, Calif., Marion Sandzimier and wife Josephine of Scottdale, Bernard Sandzimier and his wife Margaret of Everson, Theressa Shal and her husband Theodore of South Connellsville, Joseph Sandzimier and his wife Marina of San Diego, Calif., Edward Sandzimier and his wife Gail of Bolingbrook, Il., Robert Sandzimier and his wife Barbara of Mt. Pleasant, Sally Sandzimier of Greensburg and Kathleen Forejt and husband Robert of Scottdale.
Friends will be received in the Frank Kapr Funeral Home, Inc., 417 W. Pittsburgh St., Scottdale, Pa., on Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
A Blessing Service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. in St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, Scottdale, Pa.
A Parish Wake Service will be held Friday in the Funeral Home.
