Assault reported
City police said a juvenile male wrapped a shirt around Michelle Bereford of Uniontown’s neck 2:30 p.m. Monday when she was walking up the steps in a hallway from a friend’s basement apartment at 16 Wilson Ave. She fell as she was being pulled backwards down the steps, but her friend came to her assistance and the suspect fled on foot.

Citation filed
City police filed a harassment citation against Joseph S. Evans, 34, of Uniontown for allegedly striking Becky Evans in the mouth 3:50 p.m. Saturday in her Lincoln Street home.

Car vandalized, towed
City police said someone slashed all four tires on a car owned by Deanna Patterson of Uniontown Sunday afternoon in the VFW parking lot along West Main Street and then was later towed to Feathers Avenue.
Police said Patterson and another woman saw a man slash her tires at 3:40 p.m. and she had permission to leave the car in the lot. She went past the lot at 9:45 p.m. and discovered her car was not there. Police learned that one of their drivers towed the car, but did not know who requested or paid $30 for the towing.

Theft reported
City police said Donald Palo reported the theft of a Craftsman wrench set and a silver 24-inch mountain bike with front and rear shocks from the garage at his West Berkeley Street home Monday at 5:30 p.m. Police said there were no signs of forced entry into the garage.

Sign damaged
Career Link officials reported to city police that a corner of a sign on their building was broken off between 4 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Monday.

Four injured
City police said there was a two-car accident at at 7:25 p.m. Sunday on West Main Street near Oakland Avenue. The drivers were Nicholas Panos, 39, of 461 Harn St., New Salem, and Amber Price, 18, of Stockton Avenue, Uniontown, Price, her two passengers Danny Lough, 17, of Uniontown and Jason Earnest, 19, of Brownsville along with Panos were transported to Uniontown Hospital with injuries.

Criminal mischief
William Richard Harvey, 37, of Dilliner told state police someone broke the windshield of his minivan Monday at 11:05 p.m. along Dilliner Hill Road.

Burglary
State police said someone kicked in the door at the home of Elizabeth Toth, 89, of Clarksville and entered the residence sometime between 3 p.m. Oct. 22 and 2:30 p.m. Monday. Police said it is unknown if any items were taken from Toth’s home.
