Nora J. (Smith) Sanders, 68, of High House, Pa., passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2002, in Beverly Healthcare, Uniontown, Pa. She was born Nov. 14, 1933, in Georges Township, Pa., daughter of Lloyd Smith and Theresa (Martin) Smith Angelo.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, William A. Sanders in 1993; a grandson, Billy Joe Sanders; a brother, Bob Angelo; and two sisters, Jennie Glover and Ardeth “Judy” Gonzales.

Mrs. Sanders was a member of the First Christian Church of Grindstone, Pa.

She is survived by these children, Twila Lucosh and her husband Joseph, William B. Sanders and his wife Dana, Dennis A. Sanders and his wife Renee, Cindy Fazenbaker and her husband Edgar, Michael J. Sanders and his wife Kelly, and George Lindsey and his wife Susan, all of High House; 11 grandchildren, Eric Sanders, Megan Sanders, Amber Sanders, Michael Sanders Jr., Ashley Sanders, Kenny Sanders, Kelly Sanders, Janay Lucosh, Nathan Lucosh, Jennifer Lindsey, and Georgeann Lindsey; one great-grandson, Dalton K. Sanders; three sisters, Dolores Jean Angelo of Leckrone, Pa., Jane Hill of Smithfield, Pa., and Marcella Newcomer of Revere, Pa.; two brothers, Ernest Smith of Fairfax, Va., and Russell Angelo Jr., and his wife, Delores of High House; and many nephews and nieces.

Friends will be received in the H. DAVID MCELROY FUNERAL HOME, 803 Main St., McClellandtown, today from 2 to 9 p.m., and Friday until 11 a.m., the hour of service, with the Rev. Andy Miles officiating. Interment will follow in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Uniontown.
