Irene Burik Faux, 85, of Greensboro, Pa., died Sunday, September 1, 2002, at the Greene County Memorial Hospital, Waynesburg, Pa. Born June 27, 1917, in New Salem, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Michael and Catherine Burik.

She was a dedicated member for many years of the former Faith Church of The Nazarene in Greensboro and supported Gospel Tabernacle Assembly of God Church in Mount Morris.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, Eldred Faux on December 28, 1987, a brother, John Burik, and parents.

Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. William (Sondra L.) Jamison of Greensboro; one son, Robert T. Faux of Brook Park, Ohio; three grandchildren: William Jamison of Greensboro, Lisa Jamison Yelenik of Mount Morris, Pa., and Cynthia Lechner of West Salem, Ohio; three great grandchildren: Brittany Clites, David Clites, and Robert Lechner.

Friends will be received in the RICHARD R. HEROD FUNERAL HOME, Point Marion, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m., and Thursday until 11 a.m., the hour of service, with the Rev. Chester Tennant officiating.

Interment follows in Monongahela Hill Cemetery, Greensboro.
