Water work planned Open house set

The Fayette County Emergency Management Agency and 911 Center is announcing its annual open house being held on Saturday from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Tours of the 911 center will be conducted as well as informational tables.

In conjunction with the open house, the agency will also be sponsoring an Emergency Services Day. A memorial service for Sept. 11 will begin the day at 11 a.m. in the State Theater for the Arts, located adjacent to our building, which is open to the public.

At approximately 1:30 p.m. the agency will present a presentation on the response to the World Trade Center attack followed by the response to United Flight 93 crash in Somerset County.

Various emergency responders will also be displaying their equipment along with providing various live demonstrations throughout the day. The Fayette County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Team will give children’s horseback rides, weather permitting.
