Amanda Holliday of Connellsville and Jesse McElroy of Acme are engaged to be married. The bride-elect is the daughter of Donald and Linda Holliday of Spruce Hollow Road, Connellsville. She is attending Penn State University, University Park, studying for a bachelor of science degree in nursing.

Her fianc’ is the son of Barry and Joann McElroy of 609 County Line Road, Acme. He is also attending Penn State University, University Park, studying computer engineering.

A wedding for June 25, 2005 is being planned.
