Mildred Jacobs Dillon
Mildred J. (Jacobs) Dillon, 66, of Connellsville, Pa., died Thursday, September 5, 2002, in Allegheny University Hospitals, Allegheny General, Pittsburgh, Pa. She was born March 17, 1936, in Mill Run, Pa., daughter of William Jacobs and Beulah Shroyer Jacobs.
Mildred was a member of Albright United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed just staying home and doing housework.
She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren!
She was predeceased by her husband, Charles R. Umble in 1982, a daughter, Melisa J. Dillon, three sisters, Emmalou Jacobs, Irene Foxx and Helen Shipley, four brothers, Kenneth, Wilbert, Louis and Arie Jacobs, and her parents.
She is survived by three daughters: Vicky Dillon, Sharry Kimmel and companion Marvan Miller all of Connellsville, and Wendy Gagean and Wilbert of South Connellsville, Pa.; five sons: George Dillon of Delmont, Pa., James Dillon and Diane of Brownsville, Pa., Paul Lytles and Debbie of Addison, Pa., David “Hoss” Umble and companion Margie Ann of Connellsville, Pa., and Robert Burnsworth of Farmington, Pa.; grandsons: a very special grandson, Shawn R. Dillon of Connellsville, James Dillon of Florida, Jason Dillon of Washington, Pa., Matthew Nicholson of Connellsville, and Jermaine McDavis of Pittsburgh, Pa.; six granddaughters: Mary McDavis of Pittsburgh, Pa., Amanda, Marjorie, Tonya, Carla and Sammy Asbury, five great grandchildren: Jamie and Bradley Dillon, Katelyn Jr., Dale and Ian, five brothers: Tracy Jacobs and Verna, Whitey Jacobs and companion Ruth Ann, Dorman Jacobs and Kay, Bonnie “Mouse” Jacobs and Cheryl, Robert “Bobby” Jacobs and Joyce, and a sister, Viola McMullen, all of Connellsville.
Friends will be received in the VITO C. MARTUCCI FUNERAL HOME, 123 South First Street, West Side, Connellsville, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday, September 9, until 1 p.m., the hour of Service with the Rev. Byron Tate Fulton officiating.
Interment will follow in Mount Tabor Cemetery, Normalville, Pa.
Visitation was also held Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
