Barbara Dascanio, 59, of California, Pa., died peacefully at home on Monday, September 9, 2002. She was born July 29, 1943, in California, Pa., daughter of Henry and Frances (Messina) Rutsky.

In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her husband, Victor Dascanio Sr. and step-father, Michael Digon.

Left to cherish her memory, in addition to her mother, Frances Digon, are her children Victor, Paul and Anntoinette Dascanio, all of California; Joseph Dascanio of Bear, Delaware and Phillip Dascanio and wife Melisa of Ft. Bliss, Texas; a brother John Digon; two sisters, Bonnie Manos and Debbie Roberts and a grandaughter Juliann Clair.

Friends will be received in the MARISCOTTI FUNERAL HOME, INC., Anthony N. Mariscotti, Supervisor, 323 Fourth Street, California, Pa. today from 6 to 9 p.m. and until 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday when a Blessing Service will be held followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Thomas Aquinas Church with Fr. Mark Skertich as Celebrant.
