Charles Savage
Charles Savage, 80, of Pine Acres, died Monday, September 9, 2002 in the Underwood-Memorial Hospital. Mr. Savage was born in Luzerne, Pa., and lived in Pine Acres since 1962. He served 20 years in the Navy during World War II. After retiring from the Navy he worked for 23 years in hospital administration at Underwood-Memorial Hospital, retiring in 1987.
He had been a former member of the Marine Corps League and the Lawson-Cox VFW Post.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Frances (nee Bartolotta), three sons Mark Savage of National Park, Michael Savage of New Orleans, Louisiana, James Savage of Tampa, Florida; a daughter Charlene Bosco of Williamstown; two sisters Mary Bizik and Ethel Kenes both of Uniontown, Pa.; a brother George Savage of Butler, Pa. and six grandchildren.
Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Friday from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 47, Main Street, Mantua, New Jersey.
Funeral service will be Friday at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Brigadier General William Doyle Cemetery, Arneytown.
