Dorothy (Doris) Ennis, 94, formerly of Meadow Bridge, West Virginia, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2002 in Uniontown, Pa., following a short illness. She was born July 8, 1908 in Meadow Bridge, W.Va., the daughter of the late Edward and Emily Vandal Gwinn.

Mrs. Ennis was a homemaker and attended the McClellandtown Free Methodist Church in McClellandtown, Pa.

She was preceded in death by her husband Harry Ennis; daughter Loudie Vandal; a great grandson; three sisters, Lilly Johnson, Dot O’Dell Crane and Nellie Hanshew and a brother Russell Gwinn.

She is survived by a son Harry Ennis and wife Sandra of Roanoke, Va.; three daughters Lina Walters and husband Bob of Washington D.C., Karen Mick and husband Henry of McClellandtown and Susie Harrah of McClellandtown; two brothers Clete Gwinn of Meadow Bridge, W.Va., Theo Gwinn of Richwood, W.Va.; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

A service was held at 2 p.m. on Sunday at the Smather Funeral Chapel in Rainelle, W.Va.

Burial followed in Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville, W.Va.

Arrangements were under the direction of the SMATHERS FUNERAL CHAPEL, Rainelle, W.Va.
