Thomas L. Vargo
Thomas L. Vargo, 69, of Fayette City, Pa., died Monday, September 9, 2002 in his home. He was born April 22, 1933, in Fayette City, Pa., son of the late Andrew Sr. and Anna Repawn Vargo.
He was a member of Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church, Fayette City, Pa., member of Brightwell-Daughtery American Legion Post 484, Fayette City and American Slovinic Club of Fayette City.
He was preceded in death by two brothers Andrew P. Vargo and Herbert Vargo and a sister Mary “Tootsie” Karelli.
Surviving is his wife Barbara Adams Vargo and children, Thomas Vargo of Perryopolis and Lori Vargo Luce and husband Jeff of Perryopolis; brothers Edward Vargo of West Virginia, Joseph Vargo of Fayette City, George Vargo of Rostraver Township, Leonard Vargo of Connellsville; sisters Agnes Strychalski of Belle Vernon, Dolores Yelich of Irwin and Dorothy Wetzel of Belle Vernon and five grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the ELEY-MCCRORY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 334 Main Street, Fayette City, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday until 9:30 a.m. when a Blessing Service will take place followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Holy Spirit R.C. Church, Fayette City with Rev. Fr. Leonard McAlpin as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
