Joseph Verbus

Joseph Verbus, 32, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away suddenly on Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2002. He was born Nov. 9, 1969, in Uniontown, son of Mary E. Morris Verbus and Frank Verbus Jr.

Joseph was preceded in death by his brother, Franklin Verbus on July 18, 1997.

He was a member of the Amend Gun Club, the Independent Pool League and the Moose Club. He was a graduate of Fairchance Georges High School, Class of 1988, and was employed as a bartender at the Gold Rush Tavern.

Surviving are his beloved mother, Mary Morris Verbus of Uniontown, and his father, Frank Verbus Jr., and his wife, Joyce of Big Brownfield, Pa.; his loving sister, Elizabeth Rose Verbus Nypaver and husband, Jerry of Uniontown; his brothers, Jeffrey Verbus of Masontown, and Michael Verbus of Amend; his grandmother, Elsie Verbus of Amend; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and Aunts and Uncles.

Friends will be received in the STEPHEN E. KEZMARSKY III FUNERAL HOME, AT 71 PENNSYLVANIA AVE., Uniontown, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Friday until 11 a.m., when a blessing service will be held, with the Rev. Fr. William J. Kiel officiating. Interment is private for the family.
