Patrick A. Del Grosso
Patrick A. Del Grosso, 88, of Masontown, Pa., died Monday, Sept. 9, 2002, in Uniontown Hospital. He was born Feb. 15, 1914, in Connellsville, Pa., a son of John Del Grosso and Rosa (D’Augustino) Del Grosso.
His parents, a brother, and two sisters preceded him in death.
Mr. Del Grosso was a retired insurance agent, who had been employed with the Berish Agency of Masontown, and previously with the John Spock Agency.
During World War II, he served in his country in the United States Army with the 818th Quartermaster Company, at the rank of Corporal.
He was a member of All Saints Roman Catholic Church, Italo-American Citizen’s Club, Faith-Gray-McArdle Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4584, Fort Mason American Legion Post 423 of Masontown, and was Past Secretary of Masontown Borough.
Surviving are his loving wife of 57 years, Gina (Portesi) Del Grosso; a son, John J. Del Grosso and his wife, Carol; and two grandchildren, Christopher Del Grosso and his wife, Anna and Melissa Demaske and her husband, Walter, all of Masontown, Pa.
Friends will be received in the HAKY FUNERAL HOMES INC., a Dignity Memorial Provider, 515 North Main St., Masontown, Pa., this evening from 6 to 9 p.m., and on Friday, Sept. 13, 2002, until 9:30 a.m., when Prayers of Transfer will be said, followed by a Mass of Christian burial in All Saints R.C. Church at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Fr. James F. Bump as celebrant. Entombment will follow at Mount Saint Macrina Mausoleum, Uniontown, Pa., where military honors will be accorded.
