Betty Jean Griffith, 74, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2002, at her home. She was born Sept. 10, 1928, in Belle Vernon, Pa., daughter of Anna Marie Morgan Livengood of Hopwood, and the late Delbert Livengood Sr.

Surviving are her husband, Harry R. Griffith; a stepdaughter, Harriet C. Walko of Fredericksburg, Va.; and two brothers, Delbert Livengood of Hopwood, and Jason Livengood of Frederick, Md.

Betty was a retired operator for Bell Telephone with 34 years of service.

Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Saturday until 11 a.m., the hour of service, with the Rev. William Rodahaver officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
