POWER PLANT COMMUNITY YOUTH CENTER, Masontown, hold a car wash and bake sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Maykuth Funeral Home parking lot. The group is sponsored by the Masontown United Methodist Church. GIG COFFEEHOUSE, Route 857 south, Fairchance, will host Joyful Noise today from 8 to 10 p.m. Doors open at 7. Admission is free.

UNIONTOWN SERVICE LEAGUE, 41 W. Main St., Uniontown, has a large selection of fall and winter merchandise at low prices. All proceeds go to local charities.

UNIONTOWN VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT AND THE SAPP FAMILY are sponsoring a chicken and biscuit dinner on Oct. 1 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Uniontown Firemen’s Social Hall, Dunbar Street. Proceeds will benefit the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation. Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for children. Take-out orders will also be available. Deliveries to local locations will also be made with advance notice. Tickets may be purchased by calling 724-439-6016.

MESSMORE ROD AND GUN CLUB, McClellandtown, will hold a turkey shoot at 3 p.m. Sunday. It is open to the public.
