Rosary Walk on Sunday
The members of the Altar-Rosary Society of St. George Maronite Catholic Church of Uniontown invite the community to join in the 13th annual Rosary Walk to be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Joseph David is pastor. The walk consists of a rosary decade and songs of praise and prayers to the Blessed Mother at each church that is visited along the way.
The event begins at St. George Church Rosary Garden. The procession will then walk or drive to St. John Byzantine Catholic Church on Main Street.
From there, they will travel to St. John Evangelist Roman Catholic Church on Jefferson Street and on to St. Therese Roman Catholic Church on Mill Street. The next stop is at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church on North Mount Vernon Avenue.
The procession will then drive to St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church on Walnut Hill Road, where the event concludes with a litany to the Blessed Mother at the outdoor grotto and into the church for Benediction.
All who are walking should arrange to park a car at St. Mary’s parking lot on Mount Vernon Avenue.
Participants are also welcome to drive from church to church where necessary.
