Mailbox damaged

David Brian Solomon, 44, of 120 Brick Road, Dunbar Township, told state police that vandals damaged his mailbox between 2 and 8:30 a.m. Friday.

Anyone, who has information about the incident, is asked to contact state police.

South Union Twp.

Harassment reported

State police are investigating a disturbance that occurred at 2:45 a.m. Thursday at the Eat ‘n Park restaurant on Route 40, South Union Township.

Police said one man entered the restaurant and struck Mark Edward Grego, 44, of Zitney Road, Vanderbilt, in the face. Two women then grabbed Kristen Louise Grego, 19, of Zitney Road and pushed her into a table.

No charges were filed in connection with the incident.

Burglary reported

State police reported that burglars broke into a Dunbar Township garage recently and stole lawn and garden equipment. The incident occurred between 5 p.m. Aug. 22 and 3:15 p.m. Aug. 23 at a garage located outside a home at 3300 W. Crawford Ave. Police did not identify the owner of the garage.

Signs stolen

Beverly A. Sabatula of Dunbar told state police Friday morning that two signs were taken from the driveway of her business, which is located along Route 51 in Franklin Township.

Mailboxes vandalized

Patricia L. Mitchell of Vanderbilt told state police that vandals damaged her mailboxes early Friday morning outside her home, which is located along Township Route 576 in Franklin Township.

Money stolen

Burglars broke into the home of Larry Williams in Allison, Luzerne Township, Wednesday and stole a small amount of money, state police said.

Recovered vehicle

State police recovered a stolen 2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse at 2:17 a.m. Thursday in Frogtown Swamp, Luzerne Township.

Franklin Twp.

Fields damaged

William McCracken, 53, of Vanderbilt told state police that someone drove a car through his corn and soybean fields early Friday morning, causing approximately $2,000 in damage.

South Union Twp.

Two injured

Two people were injured Thursday afternoon in a two-vehicle accident at the entrance to the Uniontown Mall, South Union Township, state police said.

Police said one of the drivers, Deborah Jean Louis, 41, of Uniontown, and a passenger in her vehicle, Gregg Allen Billy, 17, of Uniontown, suffered minor injuries in the crash.

The accident occurred at 4:07 p.m. Thursday when vehicles driven by Louis and Mark Thomas Jr., 17, collided.

South Union Twp.

Window broken

Vacinesia Lynn Barnes of Uniontown told state police that a woman threw a chair through the front window of her home at 15 Tuskegee Terrace, South Union Township, at 10:15 p.m. Friday, causing the window to shatter. No charges were filed in connection with the incident.

Redstone Twp.

Man charged

Jason Glabola, 25, of Madison, Ohio, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol at 1:55 a.m. Friday after he was stopped by state police at the intersection of routes 40 and 166 in Redstone Township.

Glabola was arraigned before District Justice Michael Defino, who set bond at $500. Glabola was then placed in the Fayette County Prison.

South Union Twp.

Bicycle found

Gabriel Ryan Nalepka of 110 Mount Braddock Road, Lemont Furnace, told state police that he found a metal lunch box with a small amount of money and a purple girls’ mountain bicycle on Elma Avenue, South Union Township.

Anyone, who has information about the incident, is asked to contact state police. Anyone, who can properly prove ownership of the bicycle or box, may claim it at the state police station in Uniontown.

Fairchance

Burglary attempt

State police reported that someone tried to use a vehicle late Aug. 25 or early Aug. 26 to force their way into the rear door of the Fairchance Pharmacy, which is located at 90 W. Church St., Fairchance, but the attempt failed.

Saw stolen

William Dice Sr., 59, of Smithfield told state police that thieves stole a Stihl 18-inch orange power saw valued at $472 from the bed of his 1983 truck early Friday morning while it was parked at the Yum-Yum Donut Shop in South Union Township.

Charges filed

Police have filed charges against the following in unrelated incidents:

Philip Nicholson, 45, of 39 Gibson Terrace, for public drunkenness after he was allegedly found on Aug. 30 in an intoxicated condition in the 100 block of North Arch Street.

David Edward Rogers, 24, of White, for disorderly conduct after he was allegedly found on Sept. 1 urinating on a building at Gibson Terrace.

Robin Black, 36, of 121 Pittsburgh St., Scottdale, for defiant trespass after she was allegedly found creating a disturbance at a West Apple Street apartment on Sept. 4.

Roger Adams Jr., 28, of 608 E. Francis Ave. and Phillip A. Knight, 22, of 108 Trader Ave. for disorderly conduct after they were allegedly found fighting at Gibson Terrace on Sept. 8.

Ronald Ahlborn, 39, of 603 W. Crawford Ave. for public drunkenness after he was allegedly found in an intoxicated condition at a West Crawford Avenue business on Sept. 9.

Greensburg

Man charged

State police in Greensburg arrested Robert Ray Reynolds, 57, of 86 Greene St., Clarksville, on charges alleging he sexually assaulted an 8-year-old girl in his home and in a Greensburg home at various time beginning last summer.

Reynolds was charged with two counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, four counts of aggravated indecent assault, four counts of indecent assault, indecent exposure, endangering the welfare of children and corruption of minors.

At his Aug. 30 arraignment, bond was set at $100,000 straight, which he posted and was released.

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Sept. 19 before District Justice Cheryl Peck Yakopec in Greensburg.

Truck arson

State police in Uniontown said someone burned a 1996 Dodge Ram owned by Eric W. Guziak of Cemetery Road, Lemont Furnace, along Route 51 behind Hollywood Video at 1:30 a.m. Friday.

Man cited

Jesse L. Parker, 31, of Brownsville was cited with criminal mischief Thursday after a witness saw him slash five tires on a truck owned by James Earl Burnham of Cardale in Hunters Ridge, state police said.

Three men charged

State police in Uniontown filed simple assault and harassment charges against Eugene Sanner, Travis White and James White, all of Uniontown, after an argument between neighbors about loud music turned into a fight at 5 p.m. Sept. 3 in a yard at 122 Tyrone Ave.

Man cited

City police cited Lemorris Cook, 32, of New York with harassment, public drunkenness, criminal trespass and criminal mischief at 6 a.m. Friday after he allegedly threw a cement block through the glass front door of a 50 W. Main St. apartment building.

Burglary reported

City police said someone entered Mary Green’s Farragut Street apartment through an unlocked coal chute in the basement of her apartment building and stole a VCR, DVD player, phone/answering machine and all the food from her refrigerator. The burglary was discovered Thursday at 9:20 p.m.

Car stolen

City police said Vera Mae McGee of Mifflin Avenue reported the theft of her maroon 1992 Dodge Sprint bearing Pennsylvania registration ABS-2973 Thursday at 8:30 p.m.

Normalville

Vehicle drifted

State police in Uniontown said a vehicle parked without its emergency brake properly applied drifted across Imel Road and hit a vehicle driven by Kevin M. Bigham of Normalville head on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Bigham was not injured.

Four-vehicle accident

State police said Daniel J. Snyder of Connellsville, Annie F. Smith of Normalville, Timothy C. Ruff of Acme and William R. Shields of Mill Run were involved in a 7 p.m. accident on Monday at the intersection of routes 711 and 381.

North Union Twp.

Theft reported

State police in Uniontown said two wheel rims owned by Douglas Morrison of Peach Lane were stolen from his yard Thursday or Friday.

Theft reported

State police in Washington said two vending machines owned by Sullivan Francis Zamico of Pechin Road, Dunbar, at the access to a marina were pried open Wednesday between 4 and 11 p.m. and $280 was taken.

Car damaged

City police said someone damaged the windshield, hood, passenger door and window on Christine Rosinski’s car Thursday night or Friday morning when it was parked in an alley behind Dunkard Street.

Bicycle stolen

City police said Patrick Roberts of Iowa Street reported the theft of a 24-inch Roadmaster bike from the hallway of his apartment building 2:20 p.m. Thursday.

Officers issued nine non-traffic citation, 12 traffic citations, seven parking tickets and 11 warnings.
