Celebrations Congratulations to Shirley and Jerry Gomer of Masontown who will celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary on Saturday.
Our daughter, Jessica Bucceri, will be celebrating her birthday on Saturday. Jessica and her husband, Brian, reside in Fredericksburg, Va.
Sarah Balsega also will be celebrating her birthday on Saturday.
Elizabeth Coburn, daughter of John and Tammy Coburn, will be celebrating her first birthday on Wednesday.
Irene and Frank Karlowicz will be celebrating their wedding anniversary Monday.
Yard sale set
Plans are in the works for the final yard sale of the season to be held at the Fort Mason Historical Society Museum on Saturday, Oct. 5.
Society members would appreciate any donations of sale items.
Call Clara Pento at 724-583-2069 or Kris Kelly after 9 p.m. at 724-583-8400 to make arrangements to meet at the museum or to pick up items for resale.
Octoberfest
Masontown will once again sponsor the Octoberfest and Halloween parade on Oct. 19. Main Street will be closed to traffic between the stoplights and there are spaces available for vendors and crafters.
Anyone interested in setting up a table or wishing to help in any way is asked to contact Joann Fisher at Gram’s Restaurant at 724-583-2332.
Mayor Walter Scarton and Pete Smargie will be in charge of the Halloween parade.
