Roberta “Bertie” J. Martin McClain, 82, of Lemont Furnace, Pa., died Friday, September 13, 2002, in Uniontown Hospital. She was born January 23, 1920, in Youngstown, Fayette County, Pa., daughter of Cambridge Martin and Minnie Blanche Landman Martin.

“Bertie” was a Homemaker and Protestant by faith.

Her husband, Harol McClain, son, Wendell Teddy Baker, grandson, Harol E. Baker, brothers, Jimmy, Mirl, Lawrence, Donald “Pete”, and Frank Martin, sisters, Thelma Vanorsdale, Mildred Williams, Virginia Martin, and parents preceded her in death.

She is survived by three children: Donald George Baker, Lawrence Baker and wife Margaret, and Linda Baker Leonard all of Lemont Furnace, Pa.; grandsons: Lawrence “Buck” Baker, Mark Baker, Wendell “Speed” Baker, and Ron Baker; granddaughters: Tereca Detrick, Dianna Shemmel, Donna Morrison, Marcia Glover, Bobbie Jean Baker, Patty Shore and Dorcy Norris; 14 great grandchildren; one sister, Helen Glass, Lemont Furnace; nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the BURHANS-CROUSE FUNERAL HOME, 28 Connellsville Street, Dunbar, Pa., today from 5 to 9 p.m., Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, September 17, until 2 p.m., the hour of Service with Pastor Roger Yeager officiating.

Interment will follow in Roebuck Cemetery.
