Thelma Bloomfield
Thelma Davis Bloomfield, 95, of Smithfield, Pa., died Friday, September 13, 2002, in Davis Personal Care Home. She was born September 10, 1907, in Rubles Mill, Fayette County, Pa., daughter of John H. Davis and Margaret Williams Davis.
Thelma was a member of Mount Moriah Baptist Church of Smithfield and the Victory Sunday School Class, and former member of the Board of Trustees.
Her husband, William Eric Bloomfield, two sisters, Helen Sutton and Catherine Shearin, a brother, John Q. Davis, and parents preceded her in death.
She was the last remaining member of her parents’ immediate family.
Surviving are her son, Byron L. Davis and wife Loretta, grandson, Kevin L. Davis and wife Kathy, and great granddaughter, Megan Davis, all of Smithfield, Pa.
The family will receive friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., today from 5 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, September 17, from 10 to 11 a.m., the hour of service, with the Rev. Donald Walls officiating.
Interment will follow in Mount Moriah Baptist Cemetery, Smithfield, Pa.
