September 17, 2002 Uniontown
Man arrested
William Hart, 37, of 34 W. Coffey St., Uniontown, was arrested on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment for allegedly striking a juvenile 8 p.m. Saturday during a fight in a vacant lot at 51 Lenox St., city police said.

Man assaulted
State police in Uniontown said Edwin Parkinson of Mill Run got jumped and beat up by an unknown person after he heard a noise outside of his home and went outside 2:15 a.m. Saturday.
German Twp.
One-vehicle accident
State police said Donald E. Minerd of 29 Lincoln St., Uniontown, allegedly lost control of his pick up truck on Footedale Road, about a half mile from Route 21, struck a mailbox, a tree stump and rolled over into an adjacent field 2:25 a.m. Saturday. He had a passenger in the car, but no injuries were reported.

Motorcycle found
City police said a 1987 Kawasaki was found in a creek behind Uniontown Public Library at 12:34 a.m. Monday. Police it is registered to Joshua Franczyk of Downer Avenue, Uniontown, but it was not reported stolen.

Cell phone stolen
State police in Uniontown said white female with blonde hair stole a cellular phone from Staples 8:30 p.m. Saturday. She is described as 5-feet 5-inches to 5-feet 7-inches tall and weighing between 140 to 150 pounds.
North Union Twp.
One-car accident
State police said Ginny Lou Dobish of Lemont Furnace struck a tree along Youngstown Road at Shady Grove Road at 12:01 a.m. Saturday. Nobody was injured.
Connellsville
Two charged
Police filed multiple charges against Sonya Renee Harris, 33, of 117 N. 6th St., and Gary Lewis Bradley, 28, of Connellsville after the pair was allegedly found fighting along McCormick and East Murphy avenues on Sept. 6.
According to police, Harris tried to stab Bradley with a knife while Bradley struck Harris with a metal lawn chair during the incident.
Harris was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct while Bradley was charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness stemming from the incident.
Both were arraigned before District Justice Ronald Haggerty and released on recognizant bonds.
A preliminary hearing in the matter will be scheduled at a later date.
North Union Twp.
Items taken
State police said someone took the battery from a vehicle owned by Goodwill Industries sometime between 2 p.m. Saturday and 5:45 a.m. Monday. An item belonging to Anthony G. Beradi of North Versailles was also taken from the vehicle, police said.

Theft
State police said two juveniles were charged after they stole several items from Jason David Pishko and Joseph Pishko of New Salem and Vincent Michael Barbabella of Smock on Friday at 6 p.m.
